It's shaping up to be another very wet year.
We're going to be planting several thousand strawberries over the next few weeks, and I'm doing my level best to try to keep the process from becoming a 3 day marathon. To plant strawberries, we need to till the field, form beds, add amendment, put down landscape fabric, burn holes in said landscape fabric and plant the strawberries. My plan was to get the beds made on Saturday.
The rain had other ideas. We arrived Saturday morning to standing water on the field, and working the soil when it's that wet just leads to ceramics. Given the forecast for the week, I opted to pull out every tarp we own and put it on that field to try to give it a chance to dry out. Fingers crossed that we can get in there soon!
