Summer officially begins in two weeks, but horticulture Summer is already here! The Sun Gold Tomatoes will ripen in two weeks, Snow Peas will blossom soon, and we will soon average a dozen Cucumbers per day. I will ship 125 Bok Choi tomorrow, and 125 heads of Romaine Lettuce in about 10 days. That is Summer production!
I have some new product that is not yet in the Harvie library, so I must wait until tomorrow to publish the Harvie menu. I only offer one item per member, and put any over production in the online Farm Stand for purchase. For example, if you want two bags of Baby Lettuce MIx, Harvie will assign one, and the second comes from Farm Stand. After allowing for the Farmers Market quotas, I send all extra production to Farm Stand.
This week I am at the Family Fare parking lot on Wednesday at 12: in Eaton Rapids, and the Allen Street Farmers Market after that. Thursday is farm pick up, 12-5:00 pm, and Saturday we are in Grand Ledge for the Market on the Grand, 9:00-1:00 pm.
