Just like everyone else, we try to take advantage of this gorgeous weather to get things done. It didn't quite turn out, as the Hillcrest crops wanted their share of attention, too! The urgency is based on the upcoming Solstice on June 20, the longest daylight day of the year at 15 hours and 17 minutes. The day after, we begin the countdown to Autumn and the Fall seeding that will start in mid-July! It's a somber thought, but that is the crazy schedule that gets me up in the morning!
Meanwhile we will enjoy the Summer Customer. The Allen Street Farmers Outdoor Market has already begun, the Grand Ledge Farmers Market opens June 1, and the East Lansing Farmers Market opens on Sunday, June 2. Our weekly deliveries will continue this Memorial Day weekend at normal times, days and locations. Then everything summer will kick in with the month of June. We'll practice our craft this summer as we prepare for a bountiful Autumn! I hope to see you soon, and as always, Thank You!
NOTE: Saturday deliveries in Grand Ledge are still behind Flour Child Bakery, this one last week, and then we will move to River Street and JC Park!
