All I can think about when I see this week's list is this Shiitake, Bacon and Leek Pizza. Sounds like a delicious way to celebrate fall leeks! If you make it this week, can you tell me how it is and maybe share a picture with us on social media!?
Sweet potatoes are in shares this week! We're really excited about them. The first round will be Beauregard, the standard orange sweet potato you typically see. Swap a mixed herb bundle (sage, thyme, oregano, rosemary) into your share, roast the sweets with butter or olive oil and sprinkle with fresh herbs!

You'll find our super-fresh baby ginger bulk pack on the extras list. You'll get 5 lbs of ginger (at a CSA member exclusive price) for freezing, pickling, or candying to preserve for the winter. There's about three weeks left of the ginger harvest for the year, so if you eat a lot of ginger, now's the time to stock up!

We have lots of different options from Apple Valley, which is a small dairy and creamery in East Berlin. **BOTTLE DEPOSITS: There is a $2 bottle deposit no matter the size of the bottle. We've included the deposit in the price that you see on the list. Please return your bottle with something that indicates your name (like a post-it/ziploc bag with sticker, etc) so that we can correctly apply the bottle deposit back to your account!
Speaking of dairy, various cheese flavors and butter are back in stock from Chesapeake Gold Farm in North East MD.
You'll see a couple of things on the list this week that are certified organic from other local farms - these include BEETS, DELICATA, and ACORN squash. Our own beets should be back in a couple of weeks!
