A head's up that the new customization windows will be as follows:
TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY -- CSA email goes out Saturday evening OR Sunday morning, customization ends on Monday at 12 noon.
SATURDAY -- CSA email goes out Wednesday morning, customization ends on Thursday at 12 noon.
Don't forget that you can always edit your preferences if you find that you're frequently getting items into your share that you don't want.
We have a big goal this week and next week to get lots of seeds and plants into the ground so we have fall food!! So, we've beefed up our offerings a little with fruit from other growers (Orchard Valley Farm and Eden Gardens) so that we can focus less on harvesting and more on planting. New on the list are long blue GRAPES and mixed varieties of APPLES, and PEACHES are still going strong.
New chicks are on the farm! These birds are one half of what we need for fall and winter. That brings me to the news that we are now virtually out of boneless breast, bone-in breast and thighs (these will restock in October). We have plenty of whole and half chickens, sausage, wings, and a few drumsticks left. In a couple of weeks we will have ground chicken available, as well as a few new flavors of sausage.
