I want to take this note to further explain the CSA Summer Break Weeks as I've gotten a few more questions. Please take a moment to read through this email regarding the break!
To recap:
There are two weeks missing in our summer CSA schedule, the weeks of August 6 and August 13. We scheduled two weeks "off" from harvesting and packing boxes in order to focus on getting fall crops in the ground. During this time, you can OPT IN to get a share of produce by adding items to your cart through the Harvie Farm Stand. When the Farm Stand is OPEN, we'll send an email out to let you know!
A couple things to note:
- Because these weeks are not included in the scheduled delivery, you will not be charged for anything during this time (unless you opt to add items a la carte through the Harvie Farm Stand).
- We WILL be going to our regular markets on Saturdays: Central Market York, Downingtown and Dillsburg. We will bring Harvie Farm Stand orders to these markets during the break.
- There is a minimum order of $25, all orders will get a free bag of tomatoes and orders over $50 will get a free pack of chicken wings!
- All delivery fees for delivered shares will be credited back to your account for these two weeks.
