Add any kind of sweet PEPPERS to your meals. You'll want to follow these tips:
- Storage- Best in the refrigerator vegetable crisper for no longer than 10 (ten) days.
- Snacking- Farmer Phil says, "They are so good, just grab the stem and eat like an apple."
- Freezing- Easy to freeze, no cooking involved. Remove the seeds and stem, cut into bite sizes pieces. Place into small Ziploc bags (portioned for a recipe) and throw in the freezer. For cooked recipes later, Farm-wife Diane says, "Frozen peppers thaw quickly so I usually throw them into the recipe still frozen."
---
If you want to "spice it up", check out these HOT peppers to see if they are the right amount of KICK for you:
- Ancho Pablano- The mildest of the hot peppers. Commonly added to Mexican dishes such as chiles rellenos.
- Jalapeno- Commonly used in salsa and sauces or dried as a chipotle flavor.
- Hungarian- Sometimes confused with banana peppers, these peppers are about as hot as a jalapeno.
