Farmer Phil's TOP 5 from the field this week!
* These LOOK very healthy! * TASTE oh-so good!
1. Fresh Beans mixed colors - an old-wives tale says KEEP THE BEAN TAIL ON as it stores good vitamins and minerals. Only SNIP OFF THE STEMS.
2. Cilantro - many people are unaware of its many health benefits.
3. Carrots with tops mixed colors - Strip the leaves from the tough stems, add them to stock or soup, throw in salads, create homemade pesto.
4. Kale mixed varieties - make sure to change your greens for your smoothies to prevent alkaloid build up in the body. This isn’t anything to be too concerned about – as long as you ♥ ROTATE YOUR GREENS! ♥
5. Summer Sausage from livestock raised in Riehm's own pastured field - it's already smoked and prepared, so it won't need cooked. A grab and go food that's great for summer get togethers!
EAT with the season to grab the most NUTRITION!
