Raspberry Time Again!
The fall crop of raspberries is in full swing, and the berries are enjoying the sunshine! We have plenty of pints available this week.

Tomato Time
We still need more sun at the farm, but at least it’s not raining this week! The tomatoes are beginning to produce in earnest, so we have lots of them on the farm stand this week—heirlooms, regular red tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and paste tomatoes. Rain, Rain, Go Away!
We’ve had so much rain in the past three weeks (10 inches!) that the gardens seem to be permanently soggy. The tomatoes and raspberries are slow to ripen because they need sunshine. And the onions were beginning to rot and had to be harvested early to dry under cover.

First of the Tomatoes
After 15 years of looking for the best regular red tomato for us to grow, Ron may have finally found it. This year, “Damsel” has shown good disease resistance, high production, and excellent taste. It’s sweet and not crunchy. We’ll see what happens as the season progresses,1 read more »
New Potatoes

Lots of Zucchini!
Wow, what a rainstorm we had last night! We received 2½ inches of rain in half an hour, plus another half-inch after that. Some crops aren’t happy about it, but the zucchini and summer squash like a lot of moisture. Right now there’s a lot of zucchini on the farm stand.

Zucchini and Beans
Produce is picking up at the farm, with more crops ripening each week. This week we have lots of zucchini, and the first of our green beans. Sweet Sugar Snap Peas
We have an abundance of sugar snap peas at the farm right now. They’re cool, crunchy and sweet, just right for a quick summer snack. And for salads and stir-fry dishes.
