We're taking advantage of this dry (and warm!) period to get some of the last fall crops out in the field. Broccolini, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, and kohlrabi all went out yesterday. Kale, bok choy, fennel and scallions will go out this week. I also was able to direct seed radishes, turnips, and lettuce mix. Both of the radish plantings most recently have had wash out due to heavy rain/storms, so there will be a large gap in radishes and turnips will be delayed beyond what we had hoped for this reason. The extreme weather has been difficult to navigate this fall, but we're doing our best to get things in, even if late. We *should* start bringing in lots of fall crops in about a month!
BABY GINGER - remember to use your ginger within two weeks, or freeze it. It freezes really well and you can take it out whenever you need it, grate it or chop, and then stick it back in the freezer.
If you're feeling adventurous, there's lots of things you can do with baby ginger!
