The oats & peas cover crop is in and we're excited to see what happens with it this fall. Fingers crossed that the rain doesn't wash it out but helps it germinate nicely.
The mix of oats and peas should grow enough this fall to give the ground a good cover, as well as shade out winter annual weeds, grass and thistle. It should winter kill so that in the spring we will have a mulch on the soil that we can plant into. We will see how it does!
Chicken broth and our pullet eggs (small eggs) remain on the swap list this week. We also have a final planting of green beans coming on, so those are available too. Some fall crops are starting to come on and will make an appearance in weeks to come, including rainbow chard, beet bunches, spinach, broccolini, and more.
The Winter Share is still in the works. Thanks for your patience on this! If you are looking forward to the winter share and want to be first in line to the launch, reply WINTER23 to this email and we'll put your information down to be the first to know! You'll also be the first to get our ✨ COUPON CODE ✨ to get a free week at sign up!
Enjoy & have a wonderful week,
Brittany & the Mad Radish Farm team
