It feels good to get back to a bit cooler temperatures. It was a scorcher last week. But we worked hard and got lots of plants in the ground. And since we have a pivot....we were able to keep things watered enough to get the plants all settled in and growing.
After a week of heat and hard work ....we finally took a day off to enjoy our family. We enjoyed a day at Cameron Lake and even though it was chilly with some SNOW falling...we still had lots of fun. The kids are already asking when we get to go again!
If anyone has family friendly day hike ideas...we would love to have you share them. The kids have decided that hiking is fun....even with a 1 year old along. I am so glad there are lots of big boys in my house to take turns piggy backing Abigail!
My greenhouse continues to have new seedings passing through it. Each time one batch is planted...there is another one freshly seeded...and once they are big enough they go outside to harden off...and then out for planting.. We have another big load of beautiful plants that we hope to get in before the end of the week.....and then it's time to start the weed battle! We don't really look forward to that part...but it sure looks good when it's all freshly cultivated and weeded each time.
Hopefully you are enjoying the order day changes. We will continue to try get the orders out earlier on Monday...But it's always a bit of a scramble on Mondays. But for now...you have till Tuesday NOON to adjust your orders for the week.
