Farmer Phil's TOP 5 this week!
1. Sweet Corn - Finally the awaited ARRIVAL HAS COME! The ears may be small on this first batch that we planted due to the crazy weather earlier, but they are SO DELICIOUS!
2. Mixed Beets - Eat your beets 3 ways! Golden, Chioggia (Bull's Eye) and red.
They can support the health of your brain, heart, and digestive system, are a great addition to a balanced diet, boost athletic performance and help alleviate inflammation.
3. Lettuce - Your lettuce will remain INSANELY GOOD when you keep a wet paper towel on the butt end to retain it's moisture for the week.
4. Heirloom Tomatoes - What is so special about them?! Heirlooms are grown from saved seeds that are at least 50 years old, and some can be a 100+ years old.
They are juicy and need to be eaten quickly. Don't be scared off by the cracks or lumps. They occur naturally as they grow.
Heirlooms are commonly more flavorful and colorful, and sweeter then hybrid tomatoes.
