Happy spring box! Getting to harvest these nutritious greens, gather the daffodil buds from the apple orchard, and dig the doubles from the garlic patch for you feels so good. Ordinarily we would be doing these tasks in preparation for the 1st Farmer's Market of the season. Thank you for adapting along with us to a changing sales scene.
For this week's offering you'll see that there are plant starts, seed potatoes, flowers, and food from Welcome Table, jam from Miles Away, dry beans from Walla Walla Organics, Eggs from Hacienda Zaragoza, and tea from Grateful Herbs.
This week's loose tea mix is Tulsi Blend: "Three types of Holy Basil blended together to create a refreshing and soothing cup of herbal tea. Can be enjoyed hot or iced, this blend is great for everyday sipping, for the stressful times and great to share with a loved one. Contains the following organic ingredients: Rama, Vana and Krishna Tulsi."
If you are receiving home delivery, please set a cooler out on your porch. This way I can transfer your food directly into your container, and save the box for reuse. Starting next week, the delivery fee will be set at $5. If you are picking up, please remember to follow these health safely protocols:
Just one person should collect a box at a time. If someone else is in the farmstand or on the porch, please wait until they exit before you began.
Each box is labeled with the customer name. Only touch your box.
Inside the box is a removable plastic liner, please take this with your food. It should work as a trash bag at home. You may need to transfer some product into a stronger personal shopping bag. The waxed box with your label STAYS at the pickup location. Please gently unfold and stack it. Upon return to the farm they will be fully sanitized.
Place ice packs in the return bucket.
