This past week has been a trying one. The poor air quality has real implications for the farm: Some of the crew with more sensitive systems have not been working, those of us still in the field are feeling the drain of the extra energy required by our bodies to process all the toxins, and I don't have to run any irrigation- nothing is drying out. We're getting through the basic harvest list, but little else. Which is ok. Until I discovered that ALL the fall broccoli is coming on right now! It is perhaps the prettiest crop we've ever grown at Welcome Table. Hopefully the smoke conditions will give it patience to hold in the field a little longer.... But please order lots in this delivery. It is delicious!!!
