Happy week two of the spring share. This week we have the last hoarded carrots for the fall season. This first generation of the the spring is coming up, so fresh roots are not that far off. Also in this week's box are the first round of sweet Hakuri turnip from the hoop house. Lettuce, choi and cilantro should all be ready for week 3.
In the field we are busy transplanting and seeding, setting up trellis for the cucumbers and peas, and trying to stay on top of the weeds that really like this warm weather.
We will be at the Farmer's Market this weekend, mostly with tomato and pepper starts. Stop by to say hello. We'd love to see you. I'll add on plant starts to next week's CSA offering in case some of you also want to put in home gardens.
Take good care,
Your farmer, Emily
