Fall is in the air and brassicas are ripening on the stalk. We've got these glowing purple cabbages for this week's box. Other brassica highlights for this week include the return of Hakuri turnips, kale, and kohlrabi.
Fall is also the time we plan for next year. How will we sell what we grow? What will we plant? How many people should we hire? This year we've tried a big new thing in partnering with Harvie to offer our CSA shares. We hope its added a good layer of customer service, and is helping to get our customers the actual food they want to eat. We're learning lots on the farm about the importance of making really accurate harvest estimates a week in advance, having the right type of employee involved in box pack out, and which crops are more favored when people customize their shares.
