Dear flower customers-
It's been an eventful week on the farm. We experienced extensive flooding from Yellowhawk and Lassiter Spring Branch. As soon as the soil dries, we'll be tilling in an acre of peas, salad and cutting greens. These fresh eating foods could harbor potential food safety issues from containments from upstream. Once again I am thankful that we are a diversified farm. If flooding continues to be a problem, expanded flower production might be one of our solutions. I am also thankful for higher ground. The peonies from this late cutting of Elsa Sass peonies stayed high and dry. The annual flowers and lilies are starting to kick into gear. Look forward to mixed floral arrangements starting next week.
