We've got a lot of summer fruits going at the farm. Tomatoes, peppers, squash, and many potatoes! We have a bumper crop this year, so load up on roasted and mashed pots. We started our onion and garlic harvest and we're selling them fresh, not dried. That means they won't store very long, so use them up. They are full of moisture and flavor!

It's been a wet week and it will stay so. The wet weeks are a relief because there's no possibility to get field work done, but when it's too wet we get a different set of problems.

Cucumbers! Woo Hoo. Lots of Beets, Cabbage, and Scapes. We are starting to see some zuccini and summer squash as well. Exciting times.There will be some roasted beets with goat cheese salads, some cabbage and cilantro slaw, and some cucumber/tomato/basil salad at our house!

Our 20-acre organic vegetable farm located 10 miles north of Champaign-Urbana grows quality produce for Urbana's farmer's market, grocery stores, our CSA, and local restaurants. We are committed to the collective project of implementing farming practices that promote the health and well-being of the land we grow on and the people who eat our food. Buying locally leads to more accountability between the farmer and the eater and that relationship is important to us.
