Hopefully by Wednesday, I'll be officially under contract to purchase my new strawberry u-pick field! Right now it's a mess of kudzu that reaches over my head and hides a multitude of debris, but with any luck a week from now it will be cleared and I'll have layouts developing.

We have a firework explosion of tomatoes coming in from Garrett down at Furrowed Earth Farm. Red, yellow, green, gorgeous and delicious!

Somehow, my strawberry field is still producing! I designed the soil in this field for longevity over years, but apparently it also has some season extension action happening. We're not getting as much as we did at the peak, but we pulled 45 lbs out of it on Thursday and that's nothing to sneeze at1 read more »
