One of the blessing of this spring season on the farm has been the presence of our kids. Early on, when school was first closed, they all staked out claims for garden plots. It's been fascinating to see how their personalities are so visible in these little growing areas. Neat and tidy, exuberant and creative, weedy and content. Many thanks go to Grandma Cyndi as their on-call gardening specialist.
If you need any last starts for your garden I have added a packs of 3 mixed paste type tomatoes and Shisito peppers for this week. Next Monday all of our remaining extra tomato and pepper starts will be donated through Blue Mountain Action Council to their rural food bank deliveries to Touchet and Burbank.
If you ordered eggs for the Tuesday box last week, sorry that they were missing. Hacienda Zargosa ran into a supply issue (pesky chickens). I have added a credit to your account. I have also spoken with them to ensure a better guarantee for your future orders. Thank you for understanding.
New in this box offering is cheese from the Monteillet Fromagerie. Based outside of Dayton they use the milk from their sheep and goats to make extra fine French style cheeses.
Happy Eating,
Emily and the whole farm crew
