Happy August everyone (or it will be when you eat the food from this order)-
Its is high summer eating with offerings of peaches and shisito peppers in this box. Sorry that there is no lettuce offered and that there are yet to be tomatoes- both of these are the after effects of the June heat wave. The greens didn't germinate, and the tomato flowers all dropped. But soon, soon....
This week we have enjoyed the day campers help with the farm- they collected the potatoes, and helped with the pack out of last Tuesday's boxes.
The Walla Walla Organic sweet onions are especially good. Thank you to the McClure's for growing organic onions. They are in fact, the only certified organic producers of Walla Walla Sweet onions, anywhere. We should have them in box offerings into early September.
