Farm Happenings for August 9, 2023

It's August and the eating is good. Today, as shown in the photo, crew member Jordan fixed us friend tomatoes with tomato remoulade for snack. Super delicious! I hope you are also inspired in the kitchen with all these great ingredients. We've got the eggplant, we've got the big slicing heirlooms, and so much more. Please remember you can customize your share until 8pm on Monday evening and add extras if you wish. This week we've also got great fruit offerings. Today I picked apples, asian pears, peaches and nectarines. How to choose? Currently I'm going with the peaches with yogurt from breakfast and nectarines over waffles for dinner. We are trying to pick fruit at a firmness that it will travel without bruising and fully ripen on your counter in 2 to 3 days. Hope you enjoy, Emily and the whole farm crew
