We are still swimming in the abundance of August and are sure glad you are helping eat all the food. Last couple of weeks we've added some tomatoes to your boxes. Thanks for doing your part in a record breaking tomato yield season.
Fall crops aren't waiting for September- enjoy the first broccoli and beets this week, along side melons and peaches- new picking of Red Havens.
Most exciting of all, first the first time ever, we have pork for sale BY THE CUT! 3 weeks ago Andy loaded up 5 of our 2 year old Kune Kune pigs to a USDA certified meat processor in Moses Lake. This last week he picked it up and we are very pleased with the product. These dear farm piggies were raised on the fallen fruit of the orchards, walnuts, local garbanzo beans, attention of farmstand shoppers, and all the veggie culls and scraps of the farm. They are the ultimate recyclers. By eating WTFarm pork you are helping close the loop on farm waste. Plus it tastes real good. We'll post a single additional cut a week, while supplies last. This week in preparation for Labor Day BBQ, we have baby back and spare ribs and ground.
