Next week will be fall, and we are hoping for some more fall like weather here on the farm. The continued warm temperatures are keeping heat in the brassicas and putting other crops intended to mature for late fall into "express" mode. This week we moved large orders out to regional foodbanks and brought in about 8 tons of winter squash from the field. Whew!!
In the whirlwind that was this week on the farm, I am concerned that some less than savory items went out in boxes this last Wednesday. Everyone will get a couple of extra items in the upcoming share to help compensate.
One thing you can do to help us out is to return the boxes at your pick up locations for reuse. Home delivery folks, please leave your box on the porch for us to collect when we bring the current week's share.
