Sheep are returning to Welcome Table! Our production manager Lora's second career is that of a sheep shearer. For a decade she's been shearing in California, Oregon and Washington. As of this month she's co-owner of her first flock. Super exciting We're excited about these Gotland sheep as a source of fiber, meat, and dairy, and as grazers and nutrient cyclers of our weeds and cover crop. Can't wait for the cuteness of spring lambs too. Also we're looking for a new riding horse. Let us know if you've got a line on an equine looking for a new home.
On the farm there's lots of food. Arugula and tender first radishes on the harvest list.
