Yesterday we celebrated the equinox with the birth of production manager Liz's baby boy. Congrats to Liz, Jake and new baby! Liz pulled off an admirable spring and summer of growing food for you all and a baby. Here is to her new season as a mama!
Last week the flower subscribers received beautiful bunches of Glass Gem corn. This corn was grown by our daughter Hazel. This week she has mini bunches available for all CSA members. Enjoy it as decoration or we've read that it is also suitable for milling into cornmeal or for popping. It hasn't cured down quite enough for us to try yet.
This week is the final week for the flower CSA. Thank to all the members who have supported this season of blooms, and all the happy pollinators along the way.
Other offerings this week include "Blazing Cider" from Grateful Herb, my very favorite immune system supporting tonic or mixer. It features Welcome Table horseradish, garlic, and peppers.
