Tomato season has arrived! That means tomato sandwiches, pasta sauce, salsa, caprese salads and more. What goes better with tomatoes? Peppers and eggplants, of course. The peppers are just starting to come on, and the eggplants are slowly growing. The flee beetles love to eat the eggplant leaves, but we are doing everything we can to protect them. You can expect either peppers or eggplants in your box this week. We still have lettuce and cucumbers for your crunchy salads, and my personal favorite summertime vegetable- summer squash. Try it sauteed with the torpedo onions until its all tender and caramelized. You won't regret it.
