The season's, they are a'changing...it sure does feel that way today anyway, it's a windy day and it seems that the wind is bringing fall with it. Another freeze warning tonight and for the next several nights. This one might really do the dahlias in for good this time - but they've put up a very good fight and put out beautiful blooms right up till the end. Our final delivery of cut flowers to Libby Floral will be tomorrow; it's been a fun year flower-wise as we actively tried to track and grow the dahlia tubers that we wanted (as opposed to the random-surprise flowers of years past). We've got our favorites marked so that when the plants freeze and become unrecognizable, we'll still be able to dig and divide the tubers weeks later keeping track of what's what.
A WARNING - We're going to take a break from Farm Stand boxes next week because Bonnie will be away, and Rudy will be busy handling the wholesale orders on his own. We plan to be back with a vengance the following week with more produce and most importantly, our fall storage roots!
See you all at pick up this week! Remember, if your pick up location is Thursday in Libby, it'll be at the Fireman's Park lot even though there's no farmers market going on. We'll also be letting Vanna White sit this one out, so we'll have our smaller market trailer!
Cheers, Rudy & Bonnie
