Victory! The garlic is harvested and curing as we speak (read?). We also were able to prep and replant the entire garlic block to our fall brassicas (cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower), so we're happy to end the week feeling successful! You won't be seeing garlic as an option yet because we let it cure for a couple of weeks - in a hot, dry area out of direct sunlight with good airflow - yes, it is rather demanding isn't it? As promised, there are more cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in our harvest estimate this week, though still not as much as there will be in the coming weeks, as for slicer tomatoes, you'll have to be a bit more patient. Those are just beginning to ripen, so while we might have a little bit at market next week, we really can't get any sort of reliable estimate for your boxes just yet.
It's that time, so get into your Harvie profile to hold or reschedule your share or to customize this next week's box. There's a little bit of a break in flower bouquets from Dragon's Breath Farm as Megan waits for her summer flowers to bloom, but with impeccable timing, our own gladiolus are starting to bloom this week, so we will have just a few bunches of those available. There's also the honey, eggs, bread and bagels that you all know and love. Remember to have any 'tinkering' done by Monday at noon. Have a great weekend!
Cheers, Bonnie & Rudy
