We had a wonderful time at the Harvest Festival this past weekend - it was a beautiful day made all the more so by the smoke finally lifting and giving us some clean clear air to breathe deeply! While, the forecast says that tomorrow may not be quite as beautiful, we will be at the Farmers Market rain or shine, so don't forget to stop by and pick up your box (unless you opted for on Farm pick up on Friday!).
A lot was accomplished on the farm this week. We finished cleaning the last of our storage onions, we planted a lot of our final successions of lettuces (and we're planning on more planting at the tail end of this week too), and we worked on some crop turn over in our hoop houses - removing some tomatoes and cucumbers to make room for lettuce and spinach. We expect to have Farm Stand boxes available for a few weeks at least, but the options will start to get less diverse as we sell out of fall storage crops and as summer crops stop producing, so grab that vegetable diversity while you can!
Look forward to seeing you at pick up!
Cheers, Rudy & Bonnie
