So it looks like summer has decided to stick around a while! We were kind of excited to move on to fall, but we'll take a couple more weeks of tomatoes, basil, eggplant, and watermelons. If you haven't tried it before, you might get an eggplant this week and make babaganoush; it's one of our favorite things to do with eggplant, and makes a great prepare-ahead dish. One of my summer favorites is a tomato/babaganoush sandwich.

Fall shares are coming soon; The summer shares will finish up the week of October 22, and fall shares will start the next week (running to the week before Christmas). Lots of carrots, spinach, kale, beets, winter squash, sweet potatoes, lettuce, bell peppers, and other goodies. We are going to do something a bit different this fall, and move our CSA shares to Fridays. You'll still have all the same pickup options, they will just move to Friday, with home delivery happening on Saturday mornings. Also, please note that there is an option to pickup your share from the cooler on farm from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. This should allow the maximum flexibility for those who find a two hour once a week schedule challenging.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be renewing your shares from Summer to Fall as of the last week of September; if you would rather not participate in the fall shares, be sure to let us know, or turn off your auto-renew option in your preferences on Harvie.
Thanks,
Curtis
