Welcome to the final week of the main season CSA. If you are not signed up for the extended season share, this will be your final delivery of 2021. If you are signed up for the extended season, your share will continue on Friday the 29th, and Saturday the 30th.
As we wind down the season, I want to extend the invitation to join us on farm this Friday the 22nd, for a special Pizza Night Fundraiser for an issue near and dear to my heart: access to Ozarks creeks and rivers. We have raised our kids on the creeks of the Ozarks, from Sunday afternoon picnics on Bull Creek to rip-roaring whitewater runs down Roark Creek. We love to get on the water. Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to access these streams, due to gates, no-trespassing signs, higher bridges with no vehicle parking, and a myriad of other obstacles. I want my grandchildren to be able to learn to swim on a gravel bar like I did, and so we are hosting a fundraiser for River Access Coalition, a group which is funding legal challenges to the closure of traditional access points to Ozarks streams like the Finley, James, and Bull Creek. We are holding a special Friday Pizza Night this week, and all proceeds, plus the proceeds from the silent auction, will go to help RAC fight to keep Ozarks rivers and creeks open to all of us.
