Well, we're still here, despite the deluge, and 45 degree mornings.... In fact, things are looking really good despite the weather, which is a testament to how much better our soils are today than they were ten years ago; our first several seasons a long rainy spell like the one we just experienced would mean lots of erosion, rot, and flooded roots. These days, after spending years improving and feeding our soil, the gardens are like giant sponges, and can absorb an amazing amount of water without waterlogging, reducing erosion and other symptoms of flood conditions, while keeping plant roots healthy with lots of micro-airpockets.
This week we've got lots of great salad greens, a lot more beets than previous weeks, the very beginnings of the cherry tomatoes (just a few this week, but lots more ripening). The summer crops are looking pretty happy, and this drier weather is going to make a big difference.

I hope you are enjoying your CSA experience, as always, if anything is not satisfactory, please reach out by email, text, or phone, and we'll be glad to hear your feedback and make it right.
Thanks,
Curtis
