Hi Friends!
We had a lovely weather week last week and got many things harvested, transplanted and weeded!! We are taking a deep breath and bracing for the 90 degrees days of next week - I guess summer is here! We have more summery things available this week with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and squash! We also have garlic scapes this week - these are the flower stalks of hardneck garlic and they are super tasty! They have a mild garlic flavor and can be chopped up for stir fries, soups and salads! They look like little curly cues :) And of course - the fruit is BACK! Blueberries from Arkansas are available this week!
I'd like to mention a new thing we are doing with flowers. We are offering flowers by the bunch and bucket through a website called rooted farmers. You can also view other flower farmers offereings in the area as well. Generally, availability changes every week and you can only order about a week in advance. You do need to set up an account with Rooted, but it's free! So, check us out here at the Rooted Farmers profile link.
