Green, green, green... Green is the color of September around here. The grass is green, the trees are green, and the greens are growing strong in the field. The colors of September are more intense, partially because the lower sun angle plays well with all the still growing plants, offering more vibrant greens, reds, and yellows. Meanwhile, we are starting to see cooler evenings and mornings, which puts a spring in our steps, and a little urgency in our motions (after all, winter is coming eventually). So enjoy the remaining fruits and veggies of summer, we've got tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, onions, and other heat loving crops still producing, and kale, lettuce, daikon, and other fall treats coming.
Several members have contacted me about a workshare buyout, and a few folks have asked if we will have a Saturday workday in October or November. I'm glad to arrange a workshare buyout for you, just send me an email, and I do plan to add a workday in October, and possibly November, but I'm trying to schedule a few other things before we finalize a Saturday in the fall.
Finally, if you or someone you know is looking for a quiet place to come enjoy a couple of days, our AirBnB has some availability in September and October, and this is a really great time to come out to the farm. Coffee on the porch is a real treat this time of year, and the sunsets from our gardens are spectacular. Check it out here; https://airbnb.com/h/millsapfarm-tiny-turtle
I hope you get a chance this weekend to slow down and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Thanks,
Curtis
