Some weeks it’s all flowers and vegetables, other weeks it’s a whole lot of plumbing :-). We have been busy busy busy this week, between keeping up the harvest, getting more plants in the ground, and then putting in about 6000 Feet of new irrigation lines in the field to the east of the farmstand. We’ve been operating with all of our irrigation on the surface out there for several years, which has meant mower and tiller damage more times than I care to remember. We finally had the time, and a very generous plumber friend, to get everything below ground, away from freeze, mowers, and other hazards.
By the way, if you have plumbing or HVAC needs, give our friend Jason a call, 417-470-6800; he's a tremendously skilled plumber, with a big heart and a friendly manner. He's fixed our toilets, sinks, solar water heater, irrigation, and drains. No job too big or too small. He always shows up with a smile, a truck full of tools and parts, and more plumbing knowledge in his thumb than I have accumulated in my entire life... he's a great guy to have on your speed dial. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew was still busy getting lots of plants into the ground, and keeping things harvested. We've got some great produce ready for your kitchen next week, including the first asparagus and cucumbers!!! And don't forget to get some flowers for your table as well, we've got lots of beautiful ranunculus, anenomes, and snap dragons.
