Hi!
It's the magical time of year - it only happens in the fall for a short time - but now is that time! I'm talking about the ability to get farm fresh tomatoes and spinach at the SAME time! I know - you think this is incredible too! It's pretty fun when the seasons collide around here - and fall is now happening as the first frost occurred this week! So outside frost sensitive plants like tomatoes, eggplant, peppers and squash are done or nearly so, while cold loving crops like spinach, kale, carrots and parsley are getting sweet and tasty! We do have some of these warmer season guys hanging around in greenhouses - so production isn't going to be zero - but you will notice they won't be as plentiful. Spinach is making it's debut this week and we will also have lots of kale, radishes, salad turnips, purple top turnips, eggplant, winter squash, sweet potatoes, etc! Remember - if there are vegetables you'd rather not get - please adjust your preferences in Harvie!
