Hello Hello Hello!
I am going to jump in right away with some important information. If you pick up your box at Leatherback brewery they close early on Saturday this week. The restaurant area closes at 2 pm and the bar at 3 pm. We will still be there handing out boxes 11-3, but anyone unable to pick up in that window on Saturday will need to pick their box up another day.
What a week out here on the farm! We have been settling into our CSA groove, setting up some new beds, and trying new baking creations (maybe ones you'll see in your box soon...). Lots of stuff going in the ground right now, including okra, cucumbers, peppers, and tons more tomatoes. It's exciting seeing a freshly prepared and planted field change. The plants look a little out of place when you first put them out there, but they really grow into the space!
The picture for this week is a bit misleading...It's one of our sweet-stem broccoli plants that's looking amazing! But they need a little longer before they're ready to make their debut in the CSA, so this is a little preview.
