It's been a busy week up at the farm with lots of new produce in bloom! As pictured above our red burgundy okra has arrived, and fried okra has quickly become a favorite treat amongst the farm crew. This week we also have plenty of eggplant available as these plants are enjoying the warm, dry weather. In addition, expect to see some zucchini available in the upcoming weeks as blooms have been spotted on many of our plants!
We are excited to announce that we will now be offering fruit from NUtopia Farm. This week we have mesple and star apples available, but keep an eye out for even more exciting options in the future. As we are impatiently awaiting fruit season, we are excited about the opportunity to work with other local farmers to provide our members with more options for delicious, responsibly grown produce.
As always, make sure to stop by our Farm Tienda on Saturday from 11-3 for extra goodies that didn't make it into the boxes and some Misfit Island Munchies!
