Hey all! It's Elizabeth and I'm back on the farm as the new Assistant Farm Manager. Here's some farm updates from the week!
Some sweet things are on the way with watermelon being our star crop of the week. Fruit season is on its way in, but these sweet sugar baby watermelons have been giving us just enough to hold on to until summer. As pictured above we've also got plenty cucumber and greens such as bok choy, arugula and even some mustards.
Cultivation has been the theme of the week as we make sure we're staying on top of weeding our fields and spraying the crops for pests and disease. We have lots of new crops being planted all the time so it's important to take a step back and focus on maintaining and cultivating the goodies we've already got in the ground.
Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for some cherry tomatoes, okra and more Swiss chard!
