Happy Tuesday! We just got the first little bit of rain we've had in over two weeks and that's all I can think about currently. It has been exceptionally dry over here which has been causing some irrigation issues, but we're lucky to have dedicated crew members who make sure everything gets watered day in an day out, regardless of weather. Go team!
Despite all of the dryness, a fun discovery today was an abundance of ripe pineapple in our plots. I'm by no means claiming responsibility, but last night I had a very vivid dream about harvesting a lot of pineapples so I'm wondering if these things are connected...Either way I just had the most delicious pineapple and canary melon smoothie for lunch so if anyone out there is craving some sweetness be sure to add pineapple and melon to your box this week!
Yesterday we welcomed a new crew member Morgan who will be completing an internship with us. We are super excited to welcome new helping hands because even though it's been dry for a while, the weeds somehow still find ways to grow and take over our plots. This week will be full of reclaiming fields, planting new crops for next season, and taking lots of dips in the ocean because it's freaking hot out.
