Did you know that lettuce is a cool weather crop? Just a few years ago you would not have seen lettuce in our CSA boxes in July and August; but, knowledge has increased and farmers today understand better than ever how to manipulate the variables. We hope you've enjoyed the lettuce this summer.
Thanks to all of you who are sticking with us as we head into the cooler, back side of the calendar when lettuce, spinach, carrots & other salad greens thrive! We are so thankful for the way you are supporting local agriculture and we will continue to endeavor to feed you the most healthful food we can grow.
