CHANGE - You Need to Read This!

Posted on August 18th, 2024 by Pam Dysinger

Change is both good and bad, but this morning I had an experience that felt BAD but now I am feeling it will be good.  What do I mean? I opened my computer this morning to write this email and I saw this in my inbox

Harvie service will sunset on December 31st, 2024

What a shock! We have been with them for many years and have very much appreciated their service.  But, it does look like this change will save us some money which will be a good thing! So what that means for you is that you need to pay particular attention to emails from the farm.  We are still in the throws of deciding to make a move immediately or wait until the end of the year.  Whatever the case we NEED you to stay attuned for any emails from us.

Here is another change that is a good one!  John and I are taking a Sabbatical!!  Let me give you some background.  in 2011 we took our first Sabbatical and spent 3 amazing months in Honduras with our family, John's brother was partnering with us then and he and his wife kept the farm going.  In 2018 we let all the cultivated land lay dormant.  Joshua did plowed up a small plot of land we had not been using and had a small CSA and farmers market.  This year the Joshua and Caleb are going to move forward with the farm and we are starting a land resting rotation so that all of our land will "rest" every 7 years.   Because there will be no interns the CSA will probably not be open, to new members,  during the next three seasons.  So, keep an eye on your emails & be sure to save your place!
