Farm Happenings for December 17, 2019

Posted on December 15th, 2019 by Pam Dysinger

Happy Holidays Friends!

All is well on the farm. On these cold December nights, the crops are safely protected under covers of cloth. On the warm, sunshiny days, we pull back the cloths to let the warm rays of sunshine cheer up the plants.

One of our very favorite crops that we grow in the winter is brussels sprouts. In fact, we eat the leafy greens as well as the sprouts. Most of you have been getting some of those greens in your boxes, and I hope you've enjoyed them as much as we have!

This week, you'll have the option of getting the sprouts! They are a favorite holiday treat in my home, and I can hardly finish cooking them before they are completely eaten. A little salt or pepper, or chill if you want to spice things up a bit. Oh, and butter... lots of butter. Its the southern way.

We look forward to seeing each of you this week! Stay dry in all this rain in the forecast!

Happy Week
