The deluge continued this week, and things are pretty soggy on the farm, but the cucumbers, head lettuce, carrots, and kale are coming on strong. We also saw our first few ripe cherry tomatoes this week, so we'll probably be seeing significant numbers by the middle of next week...
Summer will eventually arrive, even if it is on the heels of a record breaking cool wet spring. Meanwhile, we've been plenty busy; weeds have been slayed, lettuce transplanted, sweet potatoes started, compost spread (only got the tractor stuck once in the mud...), and overall it was a very productive week. Here's hoping for a little more sunshine next week, and a great start to summer vacation for school kids.
Thanks,
