Welcome to Week 14! Including this week, there are 5 deliveries left in the summer CSA. The FALL CSA starts the week after!
For the first time in several years, we have to take a week off from selling Spring Mix because we simply don't have any big enough to cut. It should be back next week and for the rest of the fall. We're so sorry! We know how much you all love and depend on our Spring Mix. A combination of shorter days, suddenly cooler temps, and higher-than-expected orders has created our current situation. The good news is we have abundant microgreens, and we're even offering them in a larger 4oz bag this week. We also have lovely kale and chard to round out our greens selection.
In other news, our transition to fall and winter plantings is well underway, and we've even seeded some crops that will be harvested NEXT spring (onions, sweet peas, snapdragons and foxglove)! We have a busy month ahead of us still, as many time-sensitive crops have to get in the ground all at once in order to be harvestable in the off season, but once all of those plantings are in, we can can sigh a sigh of relief and slow down a bit until all of the root/storage crops are out of the ground, cleaned, cured and in storage.
Sorry about the Spring Mix; we hope you enjoy what we DO have to offer this week!
