Welcome to Week 1!
To introduce ourselves, we’re Katherine and Spencer Nietmann and we’ve been running Moose Meadow Farm since 2016 on Spencer’s family’s land in Clark Fork. We had a baby daughter, June, in January 2021 and she now participates in all of our farm activities. All of our products are certified organic by the USDA and the Montana Department of Agriculture, and also Real Organic Project certified (read more about that here). Farming is our full time occupation, and we also employ two people full time and two people part time on the farm year round. In addition to farming, we love to maintain a garden (seriously!), bake in our wood fired oven and ride our bikes. Meeting and getting to know all of you is a highlight of our job!
We are thrilled to continue offering CSA shares into the fall for the first time. If you have been a member in the past, THANK YOU for joining us again! If you are brand new, welcome aboard and we can’t wait to meet you and feed you.
We have an incredible diversity to offer for the first few weeks, as we still have some lingering summer crops available, as well as a plethora of fall crops. We’ll unveil new crops as they reach their prime (for example carrots are on hold until they get a few good hard frosts to sweeten them up).
