Welcome to Week 6!
We are happy to share nearly ALL of our summer fruiting crops with you this week! We are still waiting on bell peppers, snacking peppers, and paste tomatoes, but all of our other fruiting crops are here. We call ourselves vegetable farmers, but it's really the fruits of the field that we all wait for!
You'll find eggplant, banana peppers, shishitos, jalapeños, cherry tomatoes, red beefsteak tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, peas and summer squash on offer this week, in addition to all the stems (celery), leaves (kale, chard, parsley, basil, dill, lettuce, arugula), roots (carrots, beets, radishes, potatoes) and flowers (broccolini, cauliflower, sunflower, scapes) that we grow.
We got all of our winter storage carrots in the ground this week (2,880 row feet!)
Ezra is learning to tolerate some spicy foods (banana pepper).
Enjoy the produce this week,
Katherine and Spencer
