With the dry weather that's been coming our way recently the farm crew has been taking extra special care to make sure some of our more fragile crops are being taken care of. This means making adjustments to irrigation schedules, putting up deer fencing and keeping the birds away from our tomatoes! We have lots of beautiful greens coming in such as the turnip greens pictured above and we can't wait to share them with everyone. The image above was taken in one of our newer fields that is just starting to pop with lots of arugula, radishes, turnips and pumpkins!
Speaking of greens, this week we have lots of lettuce, bok choy and arugula available and even a limited number of nasturtium flowers to spice up your salad mix. We will also have carrot top pesto back in stock as we continue to work through our seemingly endless abundance of carrots.
Stop by the Farm Tienda on Saturday for some special items such as beets, bush tea and as always the infamous Misfit Island Munchies.
Have a blessed week,
Elizabeth and the Farm Crew
